Walk To End Homelessness 2011
On Wednesday 7 December 2011, forty walkers set off on the Walk to End Homelessness from Canterbury Cathedral.
After years of stable or falling levels, homelessness in all its forms is rising again and this event - a 60 mile, four day journey from Kent to London - was revived to bring this fact to wider public attention.
The Walk to End Homelessness, which was originally called The Crisis Pilgrimage and last took place in the 1990s, marked the 40th anniversary of Crisis at Christmas and Crisis’ No One Turned Away campaign, calling on the Government to strengthen the law so that no one is forced to sleep rough.
