Supporter Star: Matthew ⭐

We're always blown away by the amazing challenges our fundraisers take on to raise money for Crisis. Today we're celebrating our supporter star, Matthew, who took on a cycling challenge for Crisis.

Matthew, now 14, has been supporting Crisis since he was 7 years old. It started when he visited London in winter and was shocked to see so many people experiencing homelessness, in the cold and largely ignored by people walking past. Matthew took the time to talk to one of these people and gave him his £5 spending money. When he got home and saw a letter in the post from Crisis, he didn't hesitate to donate more.

This year, Matthew is raising funds for a World Challenge trip to Malaysia which will involve marine conservation and projects. To support his self-funded trip, Matthew undertook a 500-mile cycle over the Christmas break - about the distance of Peninsular Malaysia north to south. He immediately pledge 50% of any money raised to Crisis and donated an incredible £1,247.50.

A huge thank you to Matthew for his ongoing support for Crisis, and to all the other fundraisers who make our work possible.
