For many of our members, Crisis at Christmas is a start point
Take Nick. When his work as a painter collapsed during the pandemic and his relationship broke down, he was forced to sleep rough, exhausted, afraid, and slowly losing trust in people.
When he first came to Crisis, Nick stayed in a Crisis Christmas Hotel, where he slept properly for the first time in years and met his Lead Worker.
"At Crisis, you get to meet very kind people who understand, they lift your spirit up. My Lead Worker has done that," he said.
Before his stay ended, that same Lead Worker had found him a flat.
Nick now lives in his own rented home and is retraining for a new job.
