Homelessness is one of the great social injustices of our time, and parliament now has an historic opportunity to do more to tackle it. Last week an influential group of MPs published the results of a wide ranging inquiry into homelessness, and we urge the Government and MPs of all political persuasions to listen to its recommendations.

An influential parliamentary committee has published the final report from its wide ranging inquiry into homelessness in which it fully endorses the Homelessness Reduction Bill aimed at tackling and preventing homelessness in England.

Crisis has launched a two year funding programme offering a total of ?150k to local projects supporting homeless people or those at risk of homelessness to rent a home.

New government figures released today show that 14,780 households were accepted as homeless in the first three months of 2016 - a rise of nine per cent compared to the year before.
