Nationwide response to Crisis Housing Benefit analysis

Following Crisis' response to the Housing Benefit cuts proposed by the Coalition Government, there has been substantial coverage of Crisis' findings in regional media.

Crisis recently highlighted the Local Authorities most affected by the Coalition Government's budget cuts, receiving national news coverage from broadsheets such as The Guardian. However, especially telling has been the amount of reporting done by regional newspapers across the UK, highlighting in real terms how widely the cuts will be felt.

The regional coverage also suggests how homelessness throughout the UK is likely to increase as already vulnerable tenants are forced into rent arrears, increasing debt, forced to leave their homes and at worst become homeless.
