Free Crisis Welfare Reform Event in the North West
Crisis will be hosting a free event in Liverpool which will focus on the Government's proposals to get those furthest from the labour market into suitable and sustainable jobs.
The event, run by Michael Fothergill, the Project Manager of the Crisis Welfare Network, will take place on Thursday 1 March. It will run from 9:30am until 2pm and be held at The Quaker Meeting House on School Lane in Liverpool.
The Director of Liverpool Skylight, Kate Farrell will also be there to provide a regional perspective on the issues raised.
Crisis Welfare Network is a project set up to support smaller and specialist organisations who work with vulnerable people.
Michael Fothergill said: "This event will give organisations supporting vulnerable people to get off benefits and into work an invaluable chance to get their message across to Government. In an environment where unemployment is increasing and homelessness is on the rise, what better time to get involved in the debate."
This is an excellent opportunity to understand what the Coalition Government is proposing, and to raise your voice either as an individual, or an organisation that works with vulnerable people. It will give an opportunity for Ministers and senior officials to better understand the regional and national issues through the remit of the Crisis Welfare Network.
You can book a seat at this free event by emailing thomas.say@crisis.org.uk.
