Crisis Skylight terms up and running

At Crisis Skylight centres up and down the country, there have been many and varied positive starts to the first term of the New Year.

Merseyside kicked off with significant interest being shown in the centre's new courses while a total of 97 members attended classes in the first week.

In London the Music Production course proved popular with applicants who found out about Skylight's services at Crisis at Christmas, while in Birmingham, a brand new class in podcasting was launched. This will see members create their own internet radio show.

Birmingham Skylight's Art Coordinator, Pamela Ginn, said, "The Podcasting class is being run at a new venue partner Access to Music. They have a brilliant professional music studio and computer suite and music instruments for our members to use. The podcasting class gives members the opportunity to create a weekly show for all to listen to."

The new Skylight Centre in Oxford also opened its doors for the first time on a Saturday and staff enjoyed a fun and relaxed day, welcoming new members and enrolling them on their courses including weekend classes in break dancing and creative writing.
