No One Turned Away petition: Help us reach 10,000 signatures

The Crisis petition, calling on the government to ensure no one is forced to sleep on the streets in 21st century Britain, has received more than 8,000 signatures but will be closing soon.

There is still a chance for you to add your name to the call for meaningful, written advice when vulnerable people go to their councils for help.

As things currently stand, a vulnerably housed or homeless person can go to their council for advice and be turned away with nothing, forcing them to sleep rough and into a life of homelessness.

Crisis' Chief Executive, Leslie Morphy, said: "It is nothing short of a disgrace that vulnerable people can still be forced out onto the street with no help or advice from the authorities."

The charity hopes to reach the 10,000 mark before the petition closes.
