Crisis Skylight Merseyside visits Wonderland
Women from Crisis Skylight Merseyside's Visual Arts outreach course recently enjoyed a visit to the Alice in Wonderland exhibition at Tate Liverpool.
The exhibition of contemporary art brings together pieces inspired by Lewis Carroll's famous works Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. Women from the Ann Fowler hostel in Liverpool who take part in Crisis' Visual Arts course went along for the visit.
Maria Ventura, Arts Coordinator at Crisis Skylight Merseyside, said: "For most of the girls on the course this was a unique experience because they had never been to an art gallery before. Everyone loved it - we're now inspired to go back to our Visual Arts course and create our own work based on the exhibition."
