Come along to Crisis Carol Services in London and Newcastle
This year Crisis will host Carol Services in the historic surrounds of London's Southwark Cathedral and The Cathedral Church of St Nicholas in Newcastle.
The London Carol Service is on Saturday 15 December at 6.30pm. Due to popular demand there are no tickets left and the registration page is now closed.
The Newcastle Crisis Carol Service will take place on Wednesday 19 December at 6 pm. There will be readings by chief executive of Crisis Leslie Morphy and Crisis Skylight Newcastle members, and The Sundial Singers, a Darlington based choir, will be performing a series of festive pieces.
The Newcastle Carol Service is open to all. There is no need to reserve tickets but it would be helpful if you could let us know you hope to come by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
At a time of rising homelessness Crisis expects to be busier than ever this Christmas. But thanks to thousands of donors and volunteers Crisis at Christmas will open ten centres across the capital to welcome an expected 3,200 homeless guests between 23 and 30 December. Crisis Skylight Newcastle also expects to have its busiest ever year and will open its doors to over 300 guests on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Leslie Morphy said: “The Crisis Carol Services will celebrate our amazing Crisis at Christmas projects in London and Newcastle and renew our pledge to end homelessness for good. Mulled wine and mince pies will be provided and there will be a collection at the end of the services to support the work of Crisis, at Christmas and all year round.”
