Opportunities for artists in residence at the Bermondsey Project

The Bermondsey Project has six studios available for artists to join its new creative hub in London's fastest growing arts district.

The Bermondsey Project - located in south-east London - comprises of over 120 artists' studios, a gallery and project space, sculpture workshop and social enterprises. The new enterprise is led by Crisis in partnership with Bow Arts and other organisations to provide a network of opportunities for professional artists and Crisis Members.

Each studio offers around 350sq ft of space available at 30% of normal market rent in return for artists' engagement with Crisis Skylight Bermondsey.

The Bermondsey Project will be home to Crisis Skylight Bermondsey, a project that aims to provide homeless and vulnerably housed artists with opportunities to access arts based courses and training as well as their own studio spaces.

Both artists in residence and Crisis Skylight clients will have an opportunity to be part of a large thriving artistic community. The environment will encourage artistic collaborations, mentoring and tutoring, intensive workshops, and deliver vocational training - from electrics to decorating - to give members practical skills and qualifications.
