Crisis Skylight Birmingham Celebration event

Clients, volunteers and staff from Crisis Skylight Birmingham were joined by a variety of supporters as they gathered at the annual Summer Celebration event in the heart of the city.

They came together to celebrate the work of all at Crisis Skylight Birmingham over the last six months and to present homeless and vulnerably housed clients with certificates, while being treated to an array of home grown performances.

The Deputy Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Anita Ward, also welcomed the audience and congratulated clients, volunteers and staff on their achievements.

Those recognised at the event include Rob Allsop, 25, who is now on his way to employment after working with Sharon Johnson, Work and Learning Coach. He received an employability skills certificate and will start his level two qualification in professional cookery at college in September after years of rough sleeping.

The assembled company were also treated to a theatrical performance from the Skylight drama group.
