Open Doors at Oxford

Crisis Skylight Oxford opened its doors to members of the public last weekend to showcase the variety of services and activities used to engage with single homeless people in the local area.

The Open Doors event received 250 visitors who were able to see first hand how staff and volunteers help homeless and vulnerably housed people take their first steps out of homelessness and turn their lives around.

Those who came through the doors were also able get a close-up view of the artwork and photography produced by individuals in the regular classes run at the centre.

Two members of these classes were on hand to speak to guests about how Crisis has helped them move forwards with their lives.

Crisis Skylight Oxford’s Skylight Coordinator Ruby Glasspool, said: “The feedback we’ve received about the event both from our clients and members of the public has been really positive. Clients, staff and volunteers alike were proud to showcase the services and activities on offer. It was a brilliant day and we are thrilled with the turn out.
