Barclays Case Study

Crisis Changing Lives is a UK-wide project providing financial awards to homeless or vulnerably housed people looking for support so they can achieve their vocational goals.
Barclays have been the sole sponsor for Changing Lives since it began in 2001.

Thanks to their generosity and their support the project continues to grow from strength to strength and now delivers one of the most effective training and employment programmes for homeless people - ultimately enabling 60% of all recipients (to date) to get back into work. Crisis Changing Lives has been able to offer over 600 homelss people the financial support to move their lives on.

What Barclays say . . .“Barclays is proud to have been the first sponsor of the Crisis Changing Lives scheme ... an innovative project with a very strong focus on finding long-term solutions for homeless people that enable them to increase their employability and achieve greater independence. We have really enjoyed working with the Crisis team, who are both knowledgeable and passionate . . . Aside from the sustainable impact the project has allowed us to make, we have seen many business benefits from the partnership, including good national and regional PR coverage and employee involvement opportunities. We are happy to recommend this unique programme to another funder.” Martin Mosley, Barclays Consumer and Community Affairs Director
