The truth: the safety net isn't working

People approaching their local authority for help with homelessness only qualify for help if they tick the right boxes – or conform to a strict set of statutory criteria.

In these times of economic uncertainty, we need to do more to help homeless people.

Crisis is calling for change

Crisis wants the safety net to be widened. We want the law changed so that everyone who is homeless is entitled to at least short-term accommodation while they receive the help they need to get back on their feet.
