Covent Garden's famous Christmas celebration starts on 17 November. | |
Covent Garden’s Market Building will be transformed into a futuristic winter palace. The pièce de résistance will be the modular light display by creative collective 'UVA'. And you the lucky public will be given the opportunity to control the mammoth UVA light installation for a small donation of £1, all proceeds will go directly to Crisis.
With those lights come some fabulous sounds, courtesy of an eclectic programme of musical performers. Whether it’s the beatbox-meets-flute genius of Nathan ‘Flutebox’ Lee or the Modified Toy Orchestra, the live music line-up joins the dots between contemporary and classical work.
Londoners and visitors to Covent Garden will also be able to visit the Shop Of Delight, an eclectic pop-up store offering a variety of stylish ways to have a thrifty Christmas.
Go to the Covent Garden website for information on all the performances and activities.
