The Lee Valley Walk

This will be a joint 40th birthday celebration for Crisis and the Lee Valley Regional Park Authority. We are looking for 40 people to walk 40 miles of the Lee Valley from 15-16 September 2007.

Take a stroll along the River Lee

The walk starts from Wheathampstead in Hertfordshire and follows the River Lee to the finish at East India Dock Basin at the River Thames. The route does not contain any hills, so walkers of all abilities should be able to participate.

Leading the walk will be Leigh Hatts, author of a number of books on the Thames, Dorset's coast and countryside and the New Forest. Leigh has been walking the Thames towpath and exploring the river and Docklands since 1981.

Registration is £40 and we ask walkers to raise a minimum of £300 sponsorship.

If you are interested in taking part, please contact us on 020 7426 3852 or email us at events@crisis.org.uk.

Please note that all participants must be over the age of 18 and physically able to walk 40 miles over two days.
