Crisis works in partnership with a number of challenge providers to organise trips around the world for individuals wanting to raise money for us. Mount Kilimanjaro trek

5-14 October 2007, 14-23 March 2008

Mount Kilimanjaro

This is a challenging trek at altitude, climbing one of the most impressive and well-known mountains in the world, standing at 5896m. This 10 day adventure takes the less-trodden Machame route, allowing you to camp and fully appreciate the splendour of your

surroundings and the clear night skies. Terrain ranges from jungle paths and moorland to rocky scree.

Registration fee is £499 and you will need minimum sponsorship of £2950.

Mongolian horse trek

21–31 August 2007, 19–29 August 2008

Ride sturdy Mongolian horses for 200km through the remote valleys of the Khangai Mountains of central Mongolia, witnessing the traditional herding lifestyle of the Khalkh Mongols. This is a rare opportunity to experience the beautiful, un-touched landscapes of the ‘land of blue sky.’

Registration fee is £449 and you will need minimum sponsorship of £2950.

Cuba cycle

2-11 November 2007, 29 February-2 March 2008

Cycle across Cuba, and prepare to be overwhelmed by the country's natural contrasting beauty – from the dazzling beaches and clear blue seas of the Gulf of Mexico to the vibrant city of Havana, you can’t fail to be mesmerised by its traditional charm!

Grand Canyon explorer

28 September–7 October 2007, 16-25 May 2008

Explore the Grand Canyon from every angle; trek along the little visited North Rim with incredible views, the classic views on the South Rim, although undoubtedly the highlight will be the 1.8km descent into the canyon itself. You will camp close to gushing turquoise waterfalls and can make the most of the impressive canyon scenery.

Registration fee is £275 and you will need minimum sponsorship of £2675.

Sahara trek

2-11 November 2007, 29 February–9 March 2008

Trek across the Sahara

Trek 100km through the varied and stunning landscape of the Sahara desert. Experience the amazing feeling of space and solitude whilst trekking across landscapes varying from stony flat expanses to perfect sand dunes.

Registration fee is £299 and you will need minimum sponsorship of £2000.

Thailand jungle expedition

29 November-9 December 2007, 21 February-2 March 2008

This expedition takes place in western Thailand’s Kanchanaburi Province. You will spend six days trekking, rafting, kayaking and riding elephants through the forests and mountains of the Thung Yai Nareusan Wildlife Sanctuary. Once the challenge is complete, you will return to Bangkok, home to the Royal Palace and Wat Po.

Registration fee is £185 and you will need minimum sponsorship of £2575.
