Policy

Our briefings and consultation responses

Policy briefings call for and outline particular changes that Crisis believes should be made in government policy to benefit homeless people and wider society.

A consultation is conducted when a specific policy is being re-thought. The government conducts consultations in order to involve the public in the policy-making process by taking on board the knowledge and suggestions of individuals, groups, communities and organisations.

Policy bulletin

  • The Policy Bulletin reports weekly on changes made in policies concerning social justice, social exclusion and homelessness.
  • It reports on research and knowledge produced by organizations aimed at influencing policy.
  • It provides succinct summaries of reports from government, political parties, think-tanks, research centres and charities and web links to all reports.
