Crisis is working in partnership with Oxford City Council to develop a new Crisis Skylight centre as part of plans to redevelop the Old Fire Station at Gloucester Green in Oxford. | |
Skylight will offer workshops, training and job opportunities in collaboration with other Oxford-based organisations. Skylight will be open to anyone who wants to learn new skills, including people who are vulnerably housed or homeless, and will offer up to 50 workshops each week.
The aim is to make the building an active part of the community, with a busy café/restaurant/bar on the ground floor and information available on arts provision in the city. A range of partners will come together to occupy and work in the building, including arts and cultural organisations, health organisations, homeless charities and social enterprise agencies.
Crisis is currently in consultation with local organisations, residents and potential service users, as to how the project will best serve the community. If you would like further information or have any comments regarding the project, please contact Crisis on 020 74263849 or email chris.clements@crisis.org.uk
