SmartMove for landlords and tenants

Each SmartMove scheme offers landlords a guarantee in place of a cash deposit and a range of benefits and support. It provides tenants with ongoing support and advice to enable them to sustain their tenancies.

Skills development for tenants . . .

Crisis has been piloting SmartSkills, a programme helping SmartMove tenants build their life skills.

SmartSkills covers practical skills such as literacy and numeracy, as well as ‘softer’ skills like coping with difficult situations and considering the needs of others.

Tenants identify their own strengths and weaknesses and a dedicated worker helps them to build skills through attending classes of their choice in anything from computing to yoga. Tenants work towards a City & Guilds ‘Profile of Achievement’ award. Find out more about SmartSkills.
