The route

The 2008 Square Mile Run takes in some fantastic sights along the banks of the River Thames.

Unfortunately, due to the late scheduling of a lift of Tower Bridge, we've had to change our route. It's still scenic and we hope you'll enjoy it just as much. Please be aware that it does involve a lap so you'll have to concentrate on how far you've run! There will be marshals to help you.

Download a description of the new route here.

The amended route is approximately 3.25 miles long, and we estimate it can be completed by the fastest runner in 15 minutes or walked in an hour.

The Square Mile Run is an urban road run and as such does include some challenging parts, including flights of stairs, tight corners and uneven surfaces. We ask that participants do not use roller blades and skateboards to minimise potential dangers to other runners and pedestrians.
