Square Mile Run Volunteers

Volunteers needed - Crisis Square Mile Run 2008

The 16th Crisis Square Mile Run will be taking place this year on Thursday 12 June, returning once again to Paternoster Square in the shadow of St Paul's Cathedral.

2000 runners are expected to join us at the start-line for this year’s run, and Crisis are on the look out for volunteers to help us with the delivery of the event.

A variety of roles are available on the day, details as follows.

Route marshals

To point people in the right direction, ensure runners' safety, and most importantly, to provide lots of encouragement throughout the route!

Time required: 5.30 pm for 5.45 pm briefing, until 8.30 pm.

Site stewards

Site stewards will be needed at the start at Paternoster Square, and at the finish (down by the river, just north of the Millennium Bridge), to help with:

  • Registering runners and handing out t-shirts
  • Staffing the baggage area
  • directing runners and handing out water, bananas and goody bags

Time required: 4.30 – 8.30 pm
