Our work in Harlesden
In 2015 Skylight Brent (formerly Lift People) received a four year grant from the Oak Foundation to support an innovative programme based in our local neighbourhood of Harlesden. We wanted to develop an approach where Crisis members, local residents, community groups and statutory agencies work together to tackle homelessness and deprivation in Harlesden.
Our programme is called Harlesden Working Together and involves neighbourhood planning (helping homeless people and local residents to have their voices heard in how their neighbourhood develops) and a community network approach which brings together local partners to set up practical projects for homeless and excluded people.
We are looking for a Reception and Admin volunteer. You will be the first point of call for new and existing clients making contact with Crisis via phone and in person. You will meet a variety of people from diverse backgrounds have direct contact with the people we strive to help every day.
If you have or would like to develop your reception or administrative skills, have excellent organisational and communication skills and would like to support homeless people, we would love to hear from you.
