Crisis 3xE Network - Social Enterprise in the homelessness sector
The 3xE Network brought together organisations using social enterprise and supported employment models, and organisations working with unemployed people who are homeless or at risk. The project ended in April 2012, however this website is full of useful how to guides, signposting information and policy documents.
About the Information hub
The information hub contains detailed information about the sources of support both in your region and nationally. We have included details of membership costs and tried to give a realistic impression of what services you can expect.
There are a range of resources available online, including a searchable library of publications, links to other useful sites, lists of consultants.
A collection of 3xE information sheets is also available; with guides on a variety of important topics, including:
- Growing a social enterprise
- Marketing
- Getting your board on board
The Crisis Ethical Enterprise & Employment (3xE) story
The Ethical Enterprise and Employment (3xE) Network was launched in 2008 - with four years funding from the Big Lottery - to improve the capacity of social enterprises and supported employment projects within the homelessness sector. For more information on the 3xE Network and social enterprise in the homeless sector explore the project evaluation section.
Continuing support from Crisis
Crisis values the important role that social enterprises are playing in improving homeless people’s prospects, by providing unique opportunities to gain access to employment, training and housing. Crisis will continue to keep a watching brief on developments across the sector, and share the experience and findings of the Network. We will also continue to engage with local social enterprises to provide opportunities for the homeless people we support.
Crisis Welfare Network
Many 3xE Network members may benefit from the Crisis Welfare Network, which supports smaller and specialist organisations that work with vulnerable people that would like to be informed about the government’s welfare reform proposals. Please follow this link for more information about the welfare network.
Michael Fothergill (Welfare Reform Network project manager) will be an ongoing contact for all queries regarding the 3xE Network and the information hub. Please email: michael.fothergill@crisis.org.uk
