Classroom Assistants

Winter Term: January 2017 - March 2017

Our Winter Term runs from Monday 9 January 2017 until Friday 31 March 2017. Our classes tend to be two hours long and take place during office hours at different venues throughout the Birmingham area. We are looking for volunteers for the following classes:

  • Functional Skills: English for Speakers of Other Languages and 'Create a Website'
  • Arts: Dance, Drama and Cinema / Theatre trips

Classroom Assistant volunteers support the tutors in the delivery of their class: helping set up and tidy up and supporting individual members within the group where extra support is needed.

We are especially looking for volunteers to support

  • Our very popular Cinema and Theatre trips on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons
  • Hair Styling Course on Friday mornings at our office

Please note that as term has already started, if you apply at this stage you will be joining the class a few weeks in.

Please do get in contact if you are interested as we really need volunteers in order for these classes to run effectively. Call Volunteer Coordinator, Natalie Edwards, on 0121 348 7958.
