Private Rented Sector National Advisory Service
Crisis runs a private rented sector national advisory service for local authorities and voluntary sector agencies, providing information, advice and guidance on using the private rented sector to house homeless and vulnerable households.
Crisis' long-standing presence and expertise in the PRS is shared via this service which has backing from both the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) and Scottish government.
The private rented sector website contains a wealth of information including resources to improve or create an access scheme from scratch. We also collect together research relevant to the PRS, homelessness and low income households.
Crisis Private Rented Section Development Programme
As well as providing an advisory service to organisations, Crisis are also managing a three year programme of investment into community based services that help single homeless people find and sustain good quality accommodation in the PRS. The Crisis PRS Access Development Programme is being funded by the DCLG. Full details of this programme can be found on the private rented sector website.
