Crisis Skylight Café Newcastle
Our café is part of Crisis Skylight Newcastle, an education, training and employment centre for homeless and vulnerably housed people at City House, 1-3 City Road, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, NE1 2AF.
We are in a prime spot between the city centre and the thriving quayside, serving delicious food prepared by our trainees. The surroundings are very pleasant and include sofas to relax on and enjoy one of our speciality coffees.

The café is open from 8 am to 3 pm Monday to Friday.
Qualifications and Training

BIIAB Level 1 Essentials of Catering Award
This course is for anyone new to working in a commercial cafe. The course covers food preparation, sandwich making, food presentation and personal hygiene.
Other Courses
We run other short courses at the cafe for people wanting to work in the catering industry. Previous courses have included Welcome Host, a training course that gives you customer care skills and knowledge and HABC Level 2 Award in Food Safety, a course that is ideal for all those requiring food hygiene training for industry.
