Sleep over
Organising a sleep over is simple and fun
All you need to do is nominate a night when children sleep away from home – maybe in the the school gym, assembly room or church hall – and let the children and parents know.
It will give them a chance to think about what life could be like without all the home comforts that are usually taken for granted as well as a great opportunity to get sponsored and raise money for Crisis.

Case study
Fearns Community Sports College in Rossendale organised their first sleep over for Crisis six years ago. “It has been well supported by every Year 7 since, who have joined with staff to have a fun filled evening. In total we have raised over £6000 to help people in a less fortunate position than ourselves” said chief organiser Mrs Susan Bayley.
A Year 7 student commented on his experience of the school’s last Sleep Over. “I did the sleepover because I wanted to help the homeless people. It was great. We watched videos and sang songs. We went to sleep at midnight. I wish I could do it again.”
