Sleep over
Organising a sleep over is simple and fun
All you need to do is nominate a night when children sleep away from home – maybe in the the school gym, assembly room or church hall – and let the children and parents know.
It will give them a chance to think about what life could be like without all the home comforts that are usually taken for granted as well as a great opportunity to get sponsored and raise money for Crisis.

Case study
Last October, 3rd Meopham Guides and Vigo Guides organised a sleep over in which they slept in cardboard boxes and raised money for Crisis through sponsorship. The guides hung a tarpaulin sheet between two trees to keep off the rain, and arranged their boxes closely packed below. They dressed warmly, and had sleeping bags within their cardboard boxes.
Meopham Guides have held similar nights to raise money for Crisis since 1999. Last year was the seventh sleep over the guides have held and this raised a spectacular £739 for Crisis.
