The good practice guide
This report is the culmination of a one-year v funded programme to provide volunteering opportunities to 52 homeless young people in London and Newcastle. Crisis produced a ‘good practice guide’ to enable other organisations follow a similar process.
Dr Angela Ellis Paine, Director of the Institue of Volunteering Research describes the guide as "a welcome and timely addition to the growing body of literature on how to involve ‘hard to reach’ groups in volunteering. Rather than providing (more) ‘good practice’ advice and guidance in the traditional sense however, this report tells it as it is, or at least how it was for one organisation."
