Below is a list of our current vacancies.
Volunteer Administration Assistant
We are looking for a friendly, approachable and helpful person to support our Administrator and other Skylight staff to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the office. You will have excellent organisational skills and a good understanding of confidentiality and health and safety.
50th Anniversary Project Volunteer
In 2017, we will be marking our 50th Anniversary. Alongside events and activities to mark past successes, our main purpose for the year will be to set out a vision of how we could end homelessness once and for all in the years ahead. We will be publishing a Plan to End Homelessness in Spring 2018 and want to use the year to help us prepare, write and launch it.
This is an exciting opportunity for a group of volunteers to work with of Crisis staff and members in developing the events and activities in Coventry & Warwickshire which will make up our 50th Anniversary. The Project Team will be responsible for bringing the 50th to life locally, turning initial ideas into planned events with real impact. A major part of the team’s role will also be ensuring that we make the most of what members, volunteers and Crisis supporters can do during the year to help us get the Plan to End Homelessness off the ground.
We are looking for Befriender volunteers to support our members by taking part in a one-to-one befriending service. You will need to be willing to befriend our most vulnerable and socially isolated members, assisting them in accessing their local community and if needed, be willing to offer support and guidance.

Blanket Bee Coordinator
Crisis Skylight Coventry and Warwickshire are working in partnership with the National Trust on a project which involves a world record attempt and 30,000 knitted triangles! In short, Upton House in Warwickshire are attempting to break the world record for the most knitted bunting and have nominated our charity to receive the bunting to be made in to blankets that we can then give to the individuals who we support.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual to take on the role of coordinating our Blanket Bee project. You will need to engage community groups and businesses who would be willing to take part in sewing the triangles together and making the blankets. You will organise where and when the gatherings will take place and supervise these meetings to show the participants what to do and ensure that the brief is followed. This event will be publicised so you will also need to be briefed around how to deal with the press. An interest or experience in sewing would be ideal but this is not essential.

This role is essential in reaching those most in need of our help and you will be an important representative of Crisis making sure our services are accessible to every homeless person across the Coventry & Warwickshire region.
We are looking for a Progression Coach Mentor to support members who are moving on from our service and to help them in maintaining their health and wellbeing.
You will lead and facilitate a group of members who are coming to the end of accessing our services to meet on a weekly basis in the local area and research activities to do in the local area that are of interest to the group in question, with a focus on progression, health and wellbeing. There will also be the opportunity to attend our Advice & Guidance drop-in sessions to support staff members.
