SmartMove provides homeless or vulnerably housed people with comprehensive housing advice and access to good quality accommodation in the private sector. It offers landlords a guarantee in place of the traditional deposit. It can provide the tenants with ongoing support and advice to enable them to sustain their tenancies, as well as befriending support from volunteers for new tenants who may be living independently for the first time.

About Exeter SmartMove:
Client services: Initial support to source accommodation and move in ongoing support is made to resettlement services if required.

Client's local connection: Exeter, East Devon and Mid Devon.

Referral criteria: Non-priority, drug free for six months, homeless or threatened with homelessness, planned move from support.

Landlord services: Mediation, advice and support on managing tenancies and information on rents and affordability.

Location of landlords' properties: Exeter, East Devon and Mid Devon.
