About SmartMove Swansea:
Swansea is a modern and vibrant city with outstanding and award winning beaches. It has a thriving university with over 10,000 full and part time students.

Housing in Swansea comprises of owner-occupiers, local authority and registered social landlords and growing private rented sector.
The Local Authority has a landlord registration and accreditation scheme as well also a landlords' forum.

To qualify for a bond, clients need to be: 18 years old or above, single people or couples without dependent children living with them, homeless or threatened with homelessness, in receipt of benefits or on a low wage, have a local connection with Swansea, have no housing duty owed to them by the Local Authority, and have no outstanding Bond Board Debt. It can take longer to find suitable affordable properties for this group.

Screening procedures ensure that landlords have not been reported for poor management practices, or that there are no outstanding notices on the property.

Swansea Smartmove also operates a Smartskills project.

Our Partners:
Environmental Health Department / Tenancy Relations Office and the Local Authority Tenancy Support Unit. The office has close links with several other local agencies and can refer clients to these if neccessary.
