SmartMove provides homeless or vulnerably housed people with comprehensive housing advice and access to good quality accommodation in the private sector. It offers landlords a guarantee in place of the traditional deposit. It can provide the tenants with ongoing support and advice to enable them to sustain their tenancies, as well as befriending support from volunteers for new tenants who may be living independently for the first time.

About SmartMove Llamau:
The Vale of Glamorgan office has a staff member specifically focussed on housing in the private rented sector, as well as a staff member focussed on council housing. It is also developing its lodging scheme for young people, which includes encouraging them to stay at home longer and to properly plan leaving home.

Accommodation in Barry is a problem because it has become very expensive.

The office has good relations with the Probation Service, Vale of Glamorgan Council, and has a successful 'Home4U' scheme.
