Help with a safe place to stay
For many of our members, Crisis at Christmas is a start point
Take Gabrielle. After four years living with damp, mould and no heating, she was evicted by a Section 21 notice. Working but suddenly homeless, she began sofa surfing with a neighbour.
When Gabrielle came to Crisis, her Lead Worker Stella helped her find emergency accommodation before referring her to Crisis at Christmas hotel. While Gabrielle stayed at the women's hotel, Stella worked with a Housing Association to find her a permanent home.
"I was over the moon. I'm still trying to process that I've got a home," she said.
Gabrielle's story reflects real members' experiences, but names and photos have been changed to protect identities.
