Have you ever played People’s Postcode Lottery? If so, we’d like to say a huge thank you on behalf of everyone here at Crisis and the people we support. 
 
This month, People’s Postcode Lottery is celebrating an impressive milestone thanks to the generosity of their players. At Crisis, we’re helping them celebrate the news that more than £500 million has been raised for good causes since it launched in 2005. Indeed, since November 2018, players have raised an amazing £3.8 million for our work alone. It’s a huge amount and it’s already made a life-changing difference to the lives of hundreds of people experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness. 
 
With the support of players of People’s Postcode Lottery, we’ve begun a process to improve and expand our services for people with complex needs. Our Crisis Skylight centres work with many people who have experienced significant trauma in their lives due to crises such as rough sleeping, domestic violence or people trafficking. We’re adopting best practice in psychological therapies to transform our mental health services, starting with the recruitment of five qualified clinical psychologists, directly funded by players. 
 
The funds have also been used to conduct in-depth research into the scale of the homelessness crisis and its root causes, helping bring about the changes needed to end it once and for all. 
 
Last year alone, our dedicated Crisis Skylight teams worked with more than 11,000 people on their journeys out of homelessness. With the support of People’s Postcode Lottery players, we can help many more.

With a minimum of 32% of every ticket going to charities and good causes, players have supported more than 7,500 good causes, big and small, making a difference at both a global and local level.
