Shift Leader
About Crisis at Christmas
We mobilise a unique volunteer effort each Christmas to bring warmth, companionship and vital services to people at one of the hardest times of the year, and offer a starting point out of homelessness. This is only made possible through the collective effort and generosity of thousands of volunteers, individuals, community organisations and companies who donate money, time, skills, goods and services.
About the role
Each shift is managed by a member of staff and an experienced Shift Leader, who is responsible for overseeing the smooth and covid-secure running of the venue/all volunteer activities. Event on the set up day (23rd December), during the delivery event (24th-25th December), during the sit-down event (26th December) and on the clear down day (27th). You will be responsible for overseeing a small group of general volunteers and supporting across all areas of the delivery service or event. We need experienced shift leaders who are confident in ensuring volunteers adhere to our social distancing and covid-secure guidelines and who are flexible and can jump in to support activities where there might be an unexpected shortfall in volunteers.
