This coffee ends homelessness

Crisis Coffee

We’ve partnered with Volcano Coffee Works to create an ethically sourced and unique coffee which will directly support our work to end homelessness in the UK.

Crisis Coffee is available in each of our cafes, through high street and online retailers to raise vital funds for our work.

By buying this coffee, you’re creating jobs for homeless people and raising vital funds for Crisis. With your support, we help people directly out of homelessness, and campaign for the changes needed to solve it altogether.

The partnership will also provide an extension of our retail and café traineeship that offers employment training and opportunities to our members to help them into work.

Ten days ago we launched our In This Together appeal to to raise much needed funds to support people who are homeless during the #coronavirus outbreak. Not only do we need help to keep our own services running but we also wanted to help local grassroots homelessness charities who are struggling to cope. With your support, we're helping to find places to self-isolate for people in unsuitable accommodation such as sofa surfing. We're providing emergency support packs to people in temporary accommodation. And today we launched our grants scheme to help support local charities in their work. And after only 10 days we want to say a BIG thank you to all our selfless supporters. You've already donated over £500,000! This is fantastic news and it's already making a huge difference to the lives of people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness during the current emergency. Nobody knows when this frightening new reality will end and we know there'll be plenty more work for us to do before it does. But with your continued help we're gonna make it - together. If you'd like to help: https://www.crisis.org.uk/get-involved/in-this-together/ (or follow link in bio) #EndHomelessness #Crisis #Charity #Homelessness #Appeal #SofaSurfing

Nothing stops our resourceful Step Forward supporters. Despite being at home most of the day, together they've logged well over 50 MILLION steps to help end homelessness. That's 25,000 miles or right round the world! (with a bit to spare!) 🌍 We've heard from some really imaginative supporters who've found some novel ways to keep up their daily targets and we'll be sharing some of them over the next few weeks to so you can try them out too. "But March is nearly over!" we hear you cry. Well yes it is, but we have some great news - it's not too late to start using your daily exercise to help people experiencing homelessness because... 🔔 WE'RE EXTENDING STEP FORWARD TO INCLUDE APRIL! 🔔 🚶......🏃.......🚶.......🏃 So March into April (see what we did there?) like a boss and help End Homelessness. How will you do yours?🤸 https://stepforward.crisis.org.uk/ (or follow link in bio) #Running #Walking #Charity #fundraising #EndHomelessness #Homelessness #StepForward #Crisis #Jogging #RunningShoes

Agata's creation was inspired by her work with our Skylight centre in Croydon. Owing to the current emergency, many people won't get to see her exhibition in person so we thought our followers might enjoy it on Instagram - visit @agatanowakdesign to see more. #Endhomelessness #homelessness #Crisis #Charity 📷 by @agatanowakdesign: I made 3200 little discs to represent one percent of homeless people in the UK. Yes, that's right. According to Shelter there were 320,000 homeless in the UK (2018). The artwork is 2.4 meters tall and 3.6 meters long, available to view in the Parfitt Gallery of Croydon College. The handmade pieces have marks of my fingers. They are unglazed and are slightly different in size. The artwork was inspired by working with Crisis Charity Croydon and my wish to express uniqueness and originality of each individual who is experiencing homlessnes. #exclusionsocial #poverty #housing @crisis_uk croydoncollege checkoutcroydon croydon_school_of_art #art #artinlondon #exhibition #exhibitions #artist #porcelain #clayart #clayartist agatanowakdesign #artgallery #gallery #croydonart #croydonlife #croydonartist #croydon #southcroydon #londonboroughofculture sheltercharity croydonadcommunity

Only one thing is certain in these uncertain times: it’s a time to pull together and help each other. We've been inspired by the generosity and resolve of the public to support their communities. We’re hearing from so many of you who are concerned about the impact coronavirus is having on people who are homeless, and want to know how to help. We're committed to keeping our services open to support people who need us. And we're adapting the way we work in these challenging times, like using technology to communicate with people when it’s not safe to do so face to face, and providing emergency food and care packages. And we're starting an emergency grants scheme to help smaller homelessness charities who provide a lifeline - but who are really struggling with staff shortages and loss of fundraising income. We need your help to keep this going and carry on helping people for as long as this outbreak lasts, and beyond. Please donate today. https://www.crisis.org.uk/coronavirus (or follow link in bio) #EndHomelessness #Homelessness #Crisis #Charity #Emergency #COVID-19UK #Coronavirus
