Crisis will mark its 50th anniversary with a year of events and activities from April 2017 – April 2018. You will work within Crisis’ busy Events and Community fundraising team, supporting them in delivering a new mass participation event. This new virtual event will see people across the UK take on a 50-day challenge in aid of Crisis. This event will launch in July, with the challenge period to take place September – October 2017.
Crisis Skylight Brent are looking for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers with good administration and communication skills to assist the progression team. Our progression coaches support our members to plan for their future, set life goals, and improve confidence, independence and motivation.
Crisis Skylight London are looking for a volunteer to support our ESOL (English as a second/other language) learners. We run a Book Club on Wednesday from 2–4pm, which helps to improve their reading, comprehension and word recognition skills.
Crisis Skylight London are looking for a maths skills assistant volunteer to help out with their maths study class. The class meets every Wednesday morning, where learners work on an individualised program of online activities (on Mac computers) and assessments to build their mathematical knowledge and skills. The class ability ranges from entry level 1 through to level 2 (GCSE C equivalent) and all of the learners will be working towards the functional skills qualifications at their level.
We are looking for five volunteers with each of these languages, Arabic, Spanish, Romanian, Tigrinyaor Amharic, to offer interpreting and translating for our front line services. As well as using your language skills you will be assisting our friendly and busy Reception Team.
