If you are currently homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless, the first thing you should do is contact your local council as they have a duty to help you.

If you are rough sleeping now, visit the StreetLink website. StreetLink exists to help end rough sleeping by connecting people sleeping rough with the local services that can support them. 
 
If you need general or specific housing and homelessness related advice, the charity Shelter may also be able to help you. Shelter has a wealth of resources available online and you can also search for your nearest legal advice centre. If you are homeless, have nowhere to sleep tonight or are at risk of harm or abuse in your home, you can call Shelter’s emergency helpline: 0808 800 4444.

StreetLink exists to help end rough sleeping by enabling members of the public to connect people sleeping rough with the local services that can support them. Visit the StreetLink website to help someone you believe is sleeping rough.

Crisis Skylight Oxford works with people in Oxfordshire over the age of 16 who are experiencing homelessness, or at immediate a risk of homelessness.

Our Engagement and Assessment team will assess your initial support needs. We'll provide you with information, advice and guidance and create a plan with you around how we can support you to end your homelessness sustainably.

We can help you to access our Arts for Wellbeing support. We will help you discover (or rediscover) your creative side and gently encourage you to expand your skills, try new things and have fun. Come to our Open Art sessions in the relaxing Art Room with its beautiful, courtyard garden. Try Cookery in the professional kitchen where you can make your lunch and enjoy eating it with others. Watch the latest film at the cinema with Cinema Club or enjoy a trip to the theatre with Theatre Club.

Our coaching service offers longer-term support to people to work towards achieving their goals and to address any areas that may be contributing to their homelessness.

Our work is supported by clinical psychologists and housing law specialists as well as our Volunteering and Events teams.

Bus: We are very close to Oxford bus station. Come out of the bus station onto George St and turn left. We are on the left. There is a bus stop outside our door with these buses:

300 Park and Ride between Pear Tree (north) and Redbridge (south)
S2 between Witney, Eynsham and the bus station
S3 between Chipping Norton, Woodstock, Yarnton, Summertown and the train station
S7 between Witney, Long Hanborough, Woodstock, Kidlington and the train station
14 between JR Hospital, Marston and the train station

Train:We are about 10 minutes' walk from the train station. When you come out of the station, turn left and keep walking - straight over the canal and across the roundabout. We are on the left.

We are about 7 minutes’ walk from Carfax where buses from south and east of the city stop.

The Crisis Skylight Oxford building is wheelchair accessible and has an accessible toilet which is gender neutral.
