Over 10,000 people give their time, energy and skills to help deliver our services, campaign, fundraise and provide administrative and IT support.

Volunteers have a significant impact on Crisis and the services it is able to deliver to homeless people. Over 10,000 volunteers are involved in the organisation every year, contributing well over a quarter of a million (266,860) hours of their time. Latest volunteering news

Crisis has closed its volunteer application process in record time today (Wednesday 14 December) after gaining all of the 8,000 volunteers needed to provide food, warmth, comfort and services to 3,000 homeless people at Crisis at Christmas.


Success

A special graduation ceremony took place on Monday 5 December at the Contemporary Urban Centre in Liverpool to mark a successful first term for Crisis Skylight Merseyside.


Gabby Logan welcomed Crisis at Christmas guest turned volunteer Naomi O'Connor and Head of Crisis at Christmas Mick Bateman onto the sofa on Channel 5's Wright Stuff Extra to talk about the life-changing effect the charity has on homeless people's lives.


Crisis kicked off its 40th anniversary celebrations with The Big Thank You - a free event to give something back to the volunteers that have made Crisis at Christmas happen over the past four decades.
