Volunteer for Crisis at Christmas 2012
Applications are now open for volunteers to sign up to Crisis at Christmas 2012 which runs from 23-30 December in centres across London.
Over 8,000 volunteers are needed to give more than 3,000 homeless and vulnerably housed people food, warmth, companionship and vital services over the festive period.
Leslie Morphy, chief executive of Crisis, said: “We are calling on ordinary people to sign up to do an extraordinary job – offer warmth, companionship, vital services and hope to a growing number of homeless people who would otherwise experience a miserable Christmas. For many it can be the start of a new life, as we provide them access to year-round services.”
