Chance to get your hands on some famous mince pies
A marathon like no other - a 72 hour mince pie marathon - kicked off at midday today and is set to raise cash for Crisis this Christmas.
The Mince Pie Project, a volunteer-led initiative now in its second year saw a hundred of the country’s best chefs and restaurants creating a festive favourite – the mince pie - and lots of them too. Now you can get your teeth stuck into a mince pie lovingly created by a culinary giant including the likes of Angela Hartnett, Marcus Wareing and Michel Roux Jr.
The chefs have created a box of 50 mince pies and they are being auctioned off for a 72 hour period. All money raised is going to two charitable causes, one of them being Crisis. A not-to-miss opportunity for the festive-spirited foodie.
