While Christmas might be someone's first day with Crisis, it's really just the beginning of their story with us, and their life beyond homelessness. Our Christmas services work alongside the specialist support we provide all year. We provide advice and guidance to over 9,000 people a year who are facing homelessness, with more than 5,000 receiving personalised ongoing support and becoming Crisis members*.
These are the three simple steps taken to support people all year round:
1. Assessment and engagement - When someone comes through the door at a Crisis Skylight Centre, they are welcomed by the assessment and engagement team who will get to know them and understand their needs.
2. Intensive case management - The way we work is unique. Members supported by the Intensive Case Management Workers will often face complex challenges and have found it difficult to get support anywhere else.
3. Structured coaching - Structured coaching is used to support members more able to navigate the processes needed to end their homelessness. We encourage members to build their skills and confidence, and empower them to make positive steps towards ending their homelessness.
This support is run from all nine Crisis Skylight Centres across Great Britain.
* Crisis members are the people who receive support from Crisis and use its services.
