Cherwell Bond Scheme

Project summary

If you want to access a private sector tenancy, but don’t have the money for a deposit, we may be able to help you through our Bond Scheme. The Scheme provides a guarantee to a landlord in place of a deposit.

Bond Scheme

To assist clients into renting in the private sector the Council can offer

  • Help with finding a tenant permanent accommodation
  • 4 weeks rent in advance
  • The deposit paid

Properties must be affordable the Council is only able to consider properties that are within or close to the ceiling of Local Housing Allowance rates. See this link for information https://www.cherwell.gov.uk/info/27/housing-benefits/43/local-housing-allowance

 

Acquisitions or offers of property for the Council to Lease

A condition inspection will be made before any potential agreement is decided on.
