The Housing Advice Team offer free impartial advice to residents and landlords to help resolve their housing problems.
Clients
Who is eligible?
Those who are homeless or threatened with homelessness.
Client services
The Housing Advice Team aim to prevent people becoming homeless by providing advice which includes:-
- Advice about housing rights
- Liaising with landlords for you
- Help to find accommodation in the private sector
- Signposting for debt advice and to other agencies
How are referrals made
Via the Housing Advice Team. An interview will be carried out to establish current needs and to establish what help can be given.

Landlord services
The Housing Advice Team work closely with landlords to ensure that they know their rights and responsibilities - they can also give advice on housing issues.
