Project summary

The Deposit Bond Scheme has been set up to benefit both landlords and tenants. This free discretionary scheme offers support to both parties to encourage long-term lets and security for all.

Clients

Who is eligible?

You can apply for the scheme if:-

• You have a local connection
• You are homeless or threatened with homelessness
• You have no other way of securing a private rented property
• You have a good tenancy history

Client services

• An assured shorthold tenancy for at least 6 months
• Deposit Bond
• Help with filling in Housing Benefit homes
• Support and advice with any issues during the tenancy

How are referrals made

Landlord services

• Inventory
• Housing benefit can be paid directly into the landlord's bank account (not if the claimant is on Universal Credit)
• Help and advice on any issues that arise during tenancy
