Ribble Valley Borough Council - Tenancy Protection Bond Scheme
Project summary
The Scheme is aimed at households who cannot afford the bond required to rent private rented accommodation. The Council guarantee the bond and rent allowing you to access privately rented housing you may otherwise not be able to afford.
Clients
Who is eligible?
To be eligible for the scheme you must be:-
- Over 18 who lives or works in the Ribble Valley and who cannot afford the bond.
- You must agree to the terms of the tenancy agreement
- People with no previous rent arrears

How are referrals made
Check with the Housing Advice service for referral

- Help with benefit claims for client, and help with reducing delays for payment of benefits
- Tenancy support
- Help with rights and responsibilities relating to letting properties
- Guaranteed payment if there are rent arrears
