Rock Trust Rent Deposit Scheme
Project summary
The Rock Trust works with young people between the ages of 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. The Rent Deposit Scheme was set up in 2017 by End Youth Homelessness with funding from Yorkshire Building Society to help young people gain access to the private rented sector
The Rent Deposit scheme provides landlords with a guarantee certificate in place of a standard deposit, allowing the young person to pay their deposit up in instalments making their transition into the private sector far easier. There is also one to one support available covering help with finding properties, financial assistance and tenancy sustainment.
