Sedgemoor District Council - Deposit Guarantee Scheme
Project summary
The Deposit Guarantee Scheme is a written guarantee provided by the Council in place of a cash deposit. The Council may be able to provide a deposit guarantee only for persons who are homeless or threatened with homelessness.
Clients
Who is eligible?
A household may be eligible for assistance if the following criteria are met:
- You must be homeless or threatened with homelessness
- You must have a priority need for housing (a member of the Housing Advice Team will determine your priority)
- You must be over 16 years of age
- If you are earning £200 per week or over you may not be eligible for the deposit scheme
- You must have a local connection with the Sedgemoor area
